girls weekend

last year for mothers day, my two sisters, my mom and i all went down to st george for the weekend with my aunt and cousin. we had so much fun we decided to do it again this year! except we went the weekend after mothers day and bailie wasn't able to make it due to senior prom. so it ended up just being me, my mom, bre and gunner.

Saturday morning we walked (more of a hike for me) to the top of dixie rock. seriously. aren't those the cutest chubby legs you've ever seen??

we got snow cones while in st george and i cheated!! i cheated on snoasis and i will be forever sorry because it was just nasty. now i am craving snoasis like crazy. man that stuff is good.

and we swam, because duh. its st george and it was 95 degrees. but my swimming consisted of sitting in this floaty, in the kiddie section of the pool, and i didn't mind one bit. it was beyond relaxing. all around it was a great weekend away! but now i am so happy i am home with my hubby and my own bed:)

BYU made me do it

so anyone who knows my husband knows he has been trying so hard to grow his hair out since last October. he made it past the awkward stage and was well on his way to having a bun; his final destination haha.
weeeeelllllll, due to some unexpected (and stupid in my mind) problems with UVU and BYU, brandon had to pay a lot of money and take an online class AGAIN in order to continue on to his masters degree. although the class is online, the final test is not...and its at BYU...which means missionary haircut!

Brandon has a butt load of hair and some little bunny would have been very happy with the nest that came off his head!

annnndddddd.....WAALAA! my new and improved SEXY (and BYU approved) husband! i loved him with long hair, but dang, i've always been a sucker for short hair! don't mind the blonde stipe in his hair haha we had some fun with his long hair.

seriously. wow. talk about falling in love all over again.

bragging rights

wow. i LOVE my husband, and i have to brag about him for a minute.
Brandon is one of the most hard-woking, selfless people i have ever met. The second we found out we were expecting a baby, he jumped into high gear and started preparing for the month and a half that i would be out of work. last week he started a SECOND job with Doterra, so that means he is gone from 7:00 a.m till around 10:00 p.m monday-friday. it sucks that we never see each other because i work tuesday-saturday...so sundays are the best day of the week:). but seriously, Brandon is the best thing to ever happen to me and i cannot believe i have him for e t e r n i t y. i am so lucky.

lets start from the beginning

i met brandon several years ago when my older sister started to date one of his roommates. at the time, i thought Brandon was kind of weird, he was just plain goofy! who knew that he would be the exact guy i would fall head-over-heels in love with! i was only a junior in high school when i very first met him, and he had already served an LDS mission in Argentina, so the age difference made dating way out of the picture.
throughout the years to come, we were always friends but never EVER dated, we both had our own lives but when we crossed paths we stopped to say hello, and thats about it. several big events occurred in both of our lives and weirdly enough we ended up single at the same time. brandon was teaching ceramics at Pleasant Grove high school and taught my younger sister. we started snap-chatting the ugliest faces we possibly could to each other, grabbed a snow cone here and there, i cut his hair but nothing big throughout the month of May, 2013.  In june i finally told him i needed his actual number, i was sick of the snaps, i wanted to have a real conversation with this kid, he wasn't as weird as i always thought he was.. or maybe he was weird and i was getting used to it? either way i liked him for him and he liked me for me. June 29th, 2013 we went on our first real date to Texas road house and ended up at walmart after, wondering the isles and making vines of each other haha. He asked me to breakfast the next morning with his family, and on the fourth of july i went to the stadium of fire with them also.

we moved pretty fast in our relationship, but it worked for us, we had done the relationship thing enough to know we wanted to spend eternity together. two weeks after our first date we went ring shopping.

two weeks after that...Brandon proposed!!! so one month and one day after our first official date at texas road house, Brandon proposed the morning of June 29th at Kneaders. his good friend Mckay is in a band called The Vibrant Sound, and he had them come sing our song to us and he popped the question! it was perfect.

we got married November 8th, 2013. and in december found out we were expecting a little honeymoon baby!! it was actually our plan but we were shocked when we found out still haha. and that brings us to now. newly-wed, brandon works two jobs and i work full time as a cosmetologist. our lives are crazy and we wouldn't have it any other way!

i caved.

i am a big blog-stalker. i always go through my friends' blogs (and even people i don't know) and will read their blogs... yeah i'm weird  but i know I'm not the only one. isn't that what blogs are for?? an open book for people to see into your life? well i caved and decide to start this blog thing so bare with me..it won't be cute and probably not interesting but for those who want to hear about my hubby and growing belly, here ya go!
